Italia: Burano

A little over an hour’s ferry ride from Venice is the most colourful island in the world – Burano.  All the houses look freshly painted, and clean, and like a little toy village.  A little dreamy colourful land.  It is said that the people originally painted their homes cos they were fishermen, and this way they would be able to identify their home from a distance.  Let the pictures talk… :)
