We met newlyweds Caroline & Hudson on an unusually warm November day in Leuven. They are from the USA and met way back in college as members of rivalry colleges. So someone had to make the first move, right, I asked. He did. And as Caroline put it “thanks to a lot of Sangria!”. : ) Two years ago, Hudson took up a long term work assignment in Belgium, and Caroline bravely followed her heart (and her love) and moved to Belgium as well. And Caroline – she’s a personal trainer. As someone who dreads sports, I have a special admiration for people with such strong discipline in it. She’s also very entrepreneurial, and writes an amazing blog at www.helloconfidence.com on fitness and nutrition even with detailed step by step workouts! Go check it out for some inspiration and motivation for workouts. But the BEST part was when we went for coffee after the shoot, this girl ordered wine AND coffee. At The Same Time. That’s when I suddenly felt totally at ease! How quirky is that!
They got married earlier this year in USA, and wanted portraits in Leuven where they now live. It would be a lovely souvenier when they leave Leuven next year. We were very lucky with a warm and sunny autumn day! There was even a sunset, something so rare in Belgium especially in this time of year. Thank you for trusting me to take capture your love.
